Don’t miss the final concert of season 2024-25!

This is an excellent opportunity to hear the locally-based Thistle Quartet perform their second Inverurie Music concert at the Acorn Centre.
Tickets for the concert cost £14 for non-subscribers and are free for under 25s in full-time education, and for those on disability or low-income benefits. These are available from TicketSource, at Novello Gifts (29 West High Street, Inverurie) or at the door.
The Thistle String Quartet is Coralie Usmani and Megan Cormack (violin), Laurie Rominger (viola) and Emily De Simone (cello). Their collective performance careers have spanned an impressive array of local and international orchestras and chamber groups. Based in Aberdeen, members of the quartet are all active music educators (Big Noise Torry, Aberdeen City Council) and passionate about passing on music to the next generation.
The concert programme features a mixture of classical and contemporary works. The Thistle Quartet will join other artists this year in marking the 150th anniversary of Ravel’s birth with a performance of Ravel’s beautiful String Quartet in F major.
The full programme for the concert is shown below:
Emily De Simone: Improvisation on Peatlands
