Since the last update in February 2024, the workshop programme has continued to thrive. String players have enjoyed getting together in at Kemnay Church Centre for workshops with Dr Aaron McGregor in June 2024 and January 2025.
We have also been fortunate to have access to King’s Pavilion, University of Aberdeen to run workshops in March 2024 with Madeleine Mitchell (violin) and Nigel Clayton (piano), in October 2024 with John Miller (trumpet) and Tony George (tuba) from the Wallace Collection, and in November 2024 with the Tim Kliphuis Trio. Several local players have benefited from tuition from these wonderful artists who were in the area for the Inverurie Music concert season. Sadly, the workshop planned for May 2024 with Robert Rice (baritone) and William Vann (piano) was cancelled due to limited interest from local groups.

The second String Ensemble Day in 2025 will take place at Kemnay Church Centre on Saturday 12 April and will again be tutored by Dr Aaron McGregor. More information about this will follow soon.
