In an exciting new development and to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Inverurie Music, an award scheme for young musicians was launched at the 20th Anniversary Celebration on 27th April 2019 at the Garioch Heritage Centre. Support for the award scheme came from those who attended the celebration and from Nicola Benedetti, who kindly recorded a video message to lend her backing to this project.
The award scheme is aimed at young musicians who attend Alford, Inverurie, Kemnay, Inverurie and Meldrum Academies. They can apply for financial support of up to £200 to help with their musical activities.
Some slides from the launch presentation are shown below. Please add comments at the bottom of this post if you have any fundraising ideas…or get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
Donations can also be made by:
- cheque payable to Inverurie Music
- bank transfer (Sort Code 80-08-41 Account No. 00842458)
- or by cash at a concert or event
If you would like Inverurie Music to collect Gift Aid on your donation, please read the following information and provide your first and last names, and yout full home address including postcode with your donation.
I would like Inverurie Music to treat my donation as Gift Aid for reclaiming tax. I personally have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax for the current tax year (6th April to 5th April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax claimed by all the charities (and any Community Amateur Sports Clubs – CASCs) that I donate to in the current year. I understand other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify. I also understand that the charity will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I have given.
Details of how to apply for an award will be available soon from the Music Departments at the four schools.
Guidance for applicants and the application form can be found here, and applications for this year will open on 1st September 2019.
