After a long time with little or no live music, Inverurie Music is delighted to say that tickets are now available for the first concert of the 2021 – 2022 season on Saturday 23rd October 2021 (8pm) at St Andrew’s Church, Inverurie.
The Maharaj Degavino Duo concert was originally planned for March 2020. Finally, after more than 18 months’ delay, this multi-award winning flute and piano duo, who were recipients of a Tunnell Trust Award in 2019, are finally giving their recital in Inverurie as part of a small Scottish tour, supported by the Tunnell Trust.
The programme includes a new work from Grace-Evangeline Mason called The Butterfly and the Stone composed this year and inspired by a poem of the same name by Elisabeth Sennitt Clough. You can browse the concert programme here.
Tickets cost £12 for general admission and are free for under 25s in full-time education, and for those on disability or low-income benefits.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite here and also from Butterfly Fabrics, 48 West High Street, Inverurie AB51 3QR. Please buy tickets in advance to minimise queuing at the entrance.
Please add your name and contact details to tickets obtained from Butterfly Fabrics. These will be collected when you arrive. If you obtain tickets on Eventbrite, contact details are automatically recorded for the person buying the tickets. If, however, you buy tickets for people from more than one household, please provide a name and contact details from each of the other households by writing these on a slip of paper which will be collected at the door.
Subscriptions for the full season are still available at a much reduced cost – see details here. The season brochure can be found here.
